Designing with Canva: Creating On-Brand Materials

Learn how to use Canva and gain access to our Goddard Riverside Pro account — complete with brand kits, AI tools, pro graphics, and more — all free for staff.

We’ll start with a brief refresher on the Goddard brand and what makes a design look and feel “on-brand.” Then, you’ll learn practical design tips for creating effective, accessible, and visually consistent materials. Together, we’ll explore real examples from across programs and walk through how to collaborate in Canva to design flyers, posters, and other branded materials that tell your program’s story clearly and confidently.

**Access to the Goddard Riverside Canva Pro account requires participation in this training. Programs currently using personal Canva accounts are encouraged to attend to ensure consistent, on-brand design practices and to transition to the official Pro account for full access to brand tools and templates.

To receive training credit and a certificate of completion:

• Cameras must be on and facing you. If your camera is not working, please notify the facilitator. Participants without an active camera will not receive a certificate.
• Active participation is required. Our trainings are interactive and require engagement throughout the session.
• Late arrivals: Participants who arrive more than 15 minutes late will not be admitted and will not receive credit.
• Individual registration is required. Each participant must register through Corsizio to receive a certificate. Sharing a screen without registering will not qualify for credit.
• Please keep your microphone muted unless speaking or participating in discussion.
